Cap Guns

Cap guns are the oldest pieces in the catalog and the ones with the most questions attached: which ring fits which model, why a hammer strikes empty, and how to clean the cap channel without damaging the finish. The articles here answer those questions and cover the history of the die cast cap pistol.

The cap gun is also the safest way to introduce a child to the idea of a firearm without any powder at all, and several of the pieces in this category are written with that in mind: what to explain, what to supervise, and where the pinch points are on a working hammer mechanism.
