AK-47 Assault Rifle Folding Non-Firing Replica

About the AK-47 Assault Rifle Folding Non-Firing Replica

AK-47 Assault Rifle Folding Non-Firing Replica is a non-firing reproduction finished in standard, built to the same scale as the original and supplied ready to display. The barrel is a solid casting and the chambers are blind, so nothing can be loaded or fired, while the mechanism still moves the way the original does. That is what makes it useful for a display case, a costume or a close up photograph.

Rifles are the hardest replicas to display well because of their length. A Garand or Lee-Enfield runs close to a metre and needs either a long wall or a horizontal rack; the Kentucky flintlock is longer still. Measure the wall before ordering, and remember that a rifle hung above a door is usually too high for anyone to read the detail you paid for.

Keep it out of direct sun and away from radiators: the standard finish fades unevenly in sunlight and heat dries the wood. A light coat of oil on a cloth, wiped over the metal twice a year, is enough. Store it in a cabinet or a presentation box rather than a foam case, because foam holds moisture against the metal.
