Cap Guns
Cap Guns
Cap guns are the oldest toy in the catalog and still the most popular for family events. The die cast frames copy the Colt and Smith and Wesson patterns closely, the hammers strike a ring of paper caps, and the result is a sharp bang and a puff of smoke without any powder. For a living history display aimed at children, this is the right tool.
The models here range from full size western revolvers to small pocket pistols and derringers. Because the cap channel has to line up with the hammer, a worn or dirty cap gun will misfire constantly. Clean the channel, use the ring size listed for the model, and never let a child put a cap in their mouth: the paper is not food safe.
