ASI Full Auto Blank Firing Replica Gun SMG - Black

Submachine Gun Replicas in Use

The Thompson, MP40 and AK pattern replicas are the models most often requested by film and theatre companies, because they read correctly in silhouette from twenty metres away. That silhouette is also why they are the models most often refused by venues: check with the venue before you travel with a replica of this size, and keep it in a case, not on a shoulder strap in public.

For stage work, weight distribution matters more than finish. The Thompson with a drum magazine balances at the front of the receiver, the MP40 balances under the magazine housing, and actors will naturally hold each one differently. Buy the sling at the same time as the gun so the attachment points match.

Common questions

Are these full size?
Yes, the replicas are one to one scale, roughly 80 to 90 centimetres depending on the model, and weigh between two and four kilograms.

Do the magazines come out?
Yes, the magazine is removable on the Thompson, MP40 and AK replicas, and the drum magazine on the Thompson model is a display piece that mounts to the receiver.

Can it be used in a public performance?
That depends on local rules and on the venue. Treat it as a replica firearm at all times, transport it in a case and check requirements with the organiser before the event.
